NYC Arts: The Complete Guide to Art and Culture

FOR ARTS GROUPS: NYC-ARTS at WNET

Dear Arts Colleague,

Have you posted your fall events to the NYC-ARTS Content Manager? The few minutes you invest in posting your exhibit, performance, talk, school program or other cultural event ensures you reach even more audiences than before.

Our New Home at WNET

NYC-ARTS is honored to announce our new partnership with WNET. WNET is the premier public media provider of the New York City metropolitan area and parent company of public television stations THIRTEEN, NJTV and WLIW21, as well as the producers of an ever-expanding range of digital services, including Kids.Thirteen.org, Thirteen.org, WLIW21.org and Thirteen Ed Online, to name a few.

NYC-ARTS continues to focus its efforts around New York City’s nonprofit cultural groups. But with our home now at WNET, we will use a growing number of local and national outlets to raise the profile of arts in NYC and ultimately drive more visitors through the doors of your cultural institutions.

In very simple terms, information you add to the NYC-ARTS Content Manager will be seen on a few, if not all, of the following outlets:

·       Websites (NYC-ARTS.org and NYCkidsARTS.org) with more than 230,000 page views per month

·       Two free GPS-based mobile event apps: the ThirteenArts app for iPhone and Android (Content for the ThirteenArts App is drawn, in large part, from the NYC-ARTS database.)

·       Two weekly emails: NYC-ARTS Top Five Picks and This Week on NYCkidsARTS (circa 4,000 subscribers)

·       ARTSTHIRTEEN weekly newsletter (11,000 subscribers) (Features the NYC-ARTS Top Five.)

·       NYC-ARTS Cultural Guides for Seniors

·       @NYCARTS on Twitter (9,97300 followers)

·       NYC-ARTS Facebook page (new, Like us)

·       Nearsay.com

·       and more.

K!ds Club THIRTEEN: Where NYC-ARTS Groups Connect with Families

As NYC-ARTS grows, we want more than ever to engage you in conversations about how to better serve the cultural community through collective marketing efforts, social media and other emerging technologies.

Of particular interest to organizations that serve children, and one of NYCkidsARTS’ newest and most exciting partners, is WNET’S K!ds Club THIRTEEN. K!ds Club THIRTEEN is a very powerful and focused way to reach families in and around New York. Groups are invited to join K!ds Club as discount partners, and benefit from promotions on the K!ds Club THIRTEEN discount page, calendar and bi-weekly newsletter. Groups with family friendly programming can also co-host a “Fun & Free” event at their venues. K!ds Club THIRTEEN “Fun & Free” events consist of activities and thematic content that tie into PBS kids on-air programs and you, the host venues, Featuring costumed PBS Kids characters, the events are promoted on air, in the Thirteen program guide for all WNET members, on Kids.Thirteen.org, through social media channels, as well as via 13 parent blogger ambassadors, including Mommy Poppins, the club’s media sponsor. To sign up as a K!ds Club THIRTEEN partner, email Nicki Granata Bosch at GranataN@WNET.org.
