The International Center of Photography in Midtown Manhattan is a treasure trove of arresting images and unforgettable faces and scenes. New York's premiere exhibiting and educational institution in the photographic arts, the center houses more than 45,000 original photographic prints representing some 600 photographers. Major holdings include the archives of Robert Capa and Roman Vishniac. Other significant acquisitions run the gamut of styles from the solemnity of Diane Arbus to the tabloid photojournalism of Weegee (Arthur Fellig).
