The Hispanic Society provides an introduction to the rich and varied traditions of Spain and the world's other Spanish-speaking lands. The society's permanent collection ranges from prehistoric archaeological artifacts to 20th-century painting, sculpture and decorative art. The reference library is a valuable resource for research on the art and culture of Spain, Latin America and the Caribbean. As an integral part of the neoclassical complex known as Audubon Terrace, located across the street from Trinity Church's uptown cemetery, and in the midst of a vibrant, mostly Spanish-speaking community, the Hispanic Society is a fascinating place to visit.
