Though many New York Theatre Workshop productions have gone on to successful Broadway runs, the company was formed to provide more opportunities for young talent. Founded in 1979, the workshop now occupies a space in the East Village with a 188-seat auditorium and a rehearsal space. It hosts readings, fellowships and internships.

Please check full listing for event date and times Mind the Gap is a free 11-session inter-generational theater-making workshop in which half of the participants are aged 60 and over and half are high school students. Participants work in pairs to create theater pieces inspired by each others' life stories.
