NYC Arts: The Complete Guide to Art and Culture

A fundamental belief of the founders of The Shakespeare Society is that enjoying and understanding Shakespeare begins in the classroom; therefore, a portion of the Society's membership dollars is used to support educational activities in New York City schools.

The Shakespeare Society's educational programs for public schools integrate current academic goals and the New York State Board of Education learning standards. Initiatives include  Shakespeare in Schools,  Y Shakespeare, the Shakespeare Insights Teen Internship Program and Teaching Teachers.
