New Perspectives Theatre Company (NPTC) is an award-winning company founded in 1991 as a multi-ethnic ensemble dedicated to using theater as an agent for positive social change.  It develops and presents new plays and playwrights, particularly by women and people of color, and presents classic plays in a style that sheds new light on people's lives and work. It offers theater and its benefits to under-served audiences—especially young people and communities in need—to build life skills and promote positive participation in our society.

The Youth & Community programs are interactive, interdisciplinary, inclusive and inexpensive. Family performances take place at the NPTC Theatre at 456 West 37th Street and in libraries, community centers and in parks all over New York City and the Tri-State Area.

A multi-racial ensemble strengthens NPTC's work with New York City children A full season of performances and drama workshops for school assemblies and field trips is available. Its Web site has a brochure to download.
