  Under the direction of Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro, Ballet Hispanico explores, preserves and celebrates Latino cultures through dance. The professional company, the School of Dance and the Education & Outreach programs celebrate the dynamic aesthetics of the Hispanic diaspora.

  The foundation provides dance training to select New York City public school children. Students demonstrating talent and passion are invited to attend the New York City Public School for Dance, a junior and senior high school that combines academics with pre-professional dance training.

  The four-screen cinema opened in 1998 to screen new independent and foreign films. The series BAMcinématek started a year later, presenting repertory films.

  Bang on a Can has been serving as an alternative to mainstream classical music institutions since 1987. It maintains a touring ensemble, a summer institute for young composers and musicians, a music-commissioning program and a variety of multi-disciplinary productions that tour major festivals annually.
