The Orchestra of St. Luke's, named for the Greenwich Village church that served as its first home, encompasses the Orchestra of St. Luke's, the St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble and the Children's Free Opera & Dance of New York.
A collaborative effort between the St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble and Con Edison for the last 20 years, the Children's Free Opera & Dance of New York is one of the oldest free children's performing arts initiatives in New York City. It enables schoolchildren to attend professional productions free of charge at concert halls throughout the city.
Committed to the community, St. Luke’s Arts Education program has introduced over one million New York City school children to opera, dance and chamber music through free live performances and school partnerships.
