The nation's longest-running festival of its kind, the Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) is a leading showcase for the best in independent Asian and Asian American film and video.

The annual festival is produced by Asian CineVision, a nonprofit media arts organization devoted to the development, promotion and preservation of Asian and Asian American film and video.

The AAIFF was born in the summer of 1977, a program of 46 short films and videos from across the U.S. It fulfilled a growing need for social understanding, cultural diversity in American films, and diversity in independent cinema. AAIFF has grown to include films from more than 30 countries, a variety of topical panels and workshops, industry mixers, staged readings, exclusive interviews, receptions and more.
