In Transport Group’s 2006-2007 outreach program, co-founder Robyn Hussa created an arts-in-education program called Normal In the Schools (NIS), which brought an educational version of the musical Normal to Wisconsin's Greendale High School. Normal is written by Yvonne Adrian, Tom Kochan and Cheryl Stern and developed by Jack Cummings III. Originally produced by Transport Group in 2005, Normal is based on Yvonne Adrian's true story of her teenage daughter's eating disorder and their family's struggle to find healing and redemption. NIS enjoyed a succesful run and residency at Greendale High School, touching the lives of students, teachers and parents alike.

Transport Group is an off-Broadway theatrer company in New York City that stages new works and re-imagines revivals by American writers.  Our visually progressive productions of emotionally classic stories explore the challenges of relationships and identity in modern America.

Transport Group was co-founded in 2001 by Jack Cummings III and Robyn Hussa as a nonprofit theater company. Its first production was a revival of Thornton Wilder's classic Our Town in February of 2002. By the spring of 2009, Transport Group had produced 12 productions including six musicals and six plays comprised of six revivals and six world premieres.
