NYC Arts: The Complete Guide to Art and Culture

Like a test lab for plays, Abingdon Theatre Company is dedicated to developing and producing new works by American writers. Company-affiliated playwrights work collaboratively with other theater artists through a multiphase developmental process and receive audience feedback through a series of first readings, staged readings, workshops, small-scale productions and larger mainstage productions. Select plays become one of the two mainstage productions mounted in the company’s 98-seat procenium-style space each year.
