Established in 1993 by the husband and wife team of Reinaldo Barroso-Spech and Diarah N’Daw-Spech, this annual festival presents contemporary films that shine a different light on African Diaspora life and culture regardless of the filmmaker’s race or nationality.

Many of the films are in a foreign language with English subtitles.
