Home to the New York Philharmonic, Avery Fisher Hall seats 2,738 in a space originally designed by Max Abromovitz but renovated in 1976 to correct an acoustical failure in the hall's auditorium. The basement of Avery Hall holds changing exhibitions of photographs, drawings, models and architectural projects, primarily in the Arthur Ross Gallery. Expertly curated shows have included The Frank House: A Gropius and Breuer Collaboration and Conciliatory Figures: Three Buildings by Giuseppe Vaccaro from the 1930s.

  • Box Office: Mon–Sat 10–6, Sun noon–6. Also open until 30 minutes after the start of any performance.
