NYC Arts: The Complete Guide to Art and Culture

From major cultural institutions to urban folk artists keeping alive a wealth of cultural traditions, the Queens Council on the Arts serves the entire borough. It publishes the Queens Cultural Guide, Arts Guide (a listing of Queens events) and the Arts Manager's Survival Guide, as well as a host of maps, brochures and videos featuring the myriad neighborhoods that constitute this cosmopolitan borough.

Nations-in-Neighborhoods, an artist residency focusing on the traditional forms of dance or music of various cultures, is just one of the many programs sponsored by QCA. The artists give assembly performances followed by a series of class workshops and student performances in schools. Other programs include Queens Theatre in the Park, the Queens Community Arts Fund Grant Program and the Queens Tourism Collaborative.
