NYC Arts: The Complete Guide to Art and Culture

The 2,000 photographs, 800 historical and cultural artifacts and 24 original documentary films on rotating display illustrate the story of Jewish heritage in the 20th century. The exhibition is arranged around three chronological themes, each told on a separate floor. The first, Jewish Life A Century Ago, is an exploration of the history and customs of Jewish communities around the world at the dawn of the 20th century. The War Against the Jews follows, telling the story of Europe's Jews confronting hatred and violence and of the struggle to endure the unimaginable. Jewish Renewal depicts how Jews emerged to repair their lives and their communities throughout the world.
