- Directions: Subway: 1 train to Van Cortlandt Park - West 242nd Street. A free Wave Hill van meets visitors at the terminus hourly while returning visitors departing the gardens. Sat, June 9, 2012 Family Gallery Tours offer an opportunity for children and their parents or caregivers to enjoy looking at and sharing ideas about art. Tours will include discussions and activities about contemporary art that responds to Wave Hill’s Wild Garden.

Tues, June 5, 2012 – Tues, June 26, 2012 Each week, a “mystery reader” from Wave Hill’s staff shares a few of her or his favorite stories with budding young naturalists. Sessions are held outdoors only and are dependent on the weather. Ideal for ages 3 and up and their adult companions.
