Designing the Whitney of the Future
Ongoing In May 2011, the Whitney Museum broke ground on a new building designed by Renzo Piano, located between the High Line and the Hudson River Park in the Meatpacking District. In this exhibition, renderings and a model are paired with artist Lawrence Weiner’s language piece HERE THERE & EVERYWHERE.
Ongoing Works from the permanent collection explore the fragmentation of abstraction in early modernism, realism as it focuses on people and society, and the convergence of the mind and the body.
