Prospect Park Alliance
Within Prospect Park, students take a close look at Brooklyn’s last remaining forest, examining the specimens they collect from its different layers. The 80-minute workshop explores what role each part of the ecosystem plays in the survival of plants and animals. Teachers should make reservations for spring dates as far in advance as possible.
Meet at the Boathouse, near the Ocean Avenue entrance to the park.
The Prospect Park Alliance seeks to inspire visitors to take an active role in the preservation of the unique natural, man-made and ultimately urban environments of Prospect Park.
