Center is open on Sat & Sun, but hours vary; call before visiting. Walking trails are open dawn-dusk.
Walking trails at this wild parkland in Queens are open from dawn to dusk, year round. The nature trails traverse ponds, salt marshes, forests and meadows where shore birds, migrating flocks and a variety of small animals make themselves at home. More than 300 species of birds and other wildlife have been documented here.
