    The renowned modern dance company, led by choreographer Mark Morris, was founded in 1980. In 2001 it opened its dance center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, to provide a home for the company, rehearsal space for the dance community, outreach programs for local children and a school offering dance classes for all ages.

    This chamber-sized dance ensemble teaches the community about Balinese dance and culture through a fusion of East/West aesthetics in a contemporary, world dance format.

    Under the direction of Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro, Ballet Hispanico explores, preserves and celebrates Latino cultures through dance. The professional company, the School of Dance and the Education & Outreach programs celebrate the dynamic aesthetics of the Hispanic diaspora.

    Ballet Tech Foundation

    Manhattan

    The foundation provides dance training to select New York City public school children. Students demonstrating talent and passion are invited to attend the New York City Public School for Dance, a junior and senior high school that combines academics with pre-professional dance training.

    BAC serves as a creative laboratory, meeting place and performance space for artists from around the world. BAC also presents contemporary, innovative work at low or no cost to to the public.

    Batoto Yetu

    Manhattan

    Every year, Batoto Yetu provides more than 300 hours of free dance instruction to underprivileged youth from the five boroughs of New York. Classes are held in Harlem every Saturday.
