    Whitney Museum of American Art

    Whitney Family Programs are designed to encourage children ages 4–12 and their parents or caregivers to observe, discuss, and explore art together while developing a sense of life-long experimentation, critical thinking, and creative expression. Participants have the opportunity to work directly with contemporary artists, Museum educators, and each other.

    UrbanGlass: New York Center for Contemporary Glass

    Brooklyn

    Founded in 1977, Urban Glass furnishes artists with opportunities to learn glassmaking through residencies, workshops and access to furnaces and equipment. Visitors to the studio may watch glass being blown, see products of those efforts in the studio's Robert Lehman Gallery or purchase newly blown glass art in the gift shop.

    A 28-acre public garden and cultural center, Wave Hill has views of the Hudson River and the Palisades, as well as an expanse of green lawns and woodlands.

    A nonprofit gallery on the Lower East Side, White Box exhibits works by emerging and established artists in solo and themed group shows throughout the year.

  • White Columns

    Manhattan

    Founded in 1969 as an alternative art space, White Columns presents an ongoing program of culturally diverse exhibitions, publishes artists books and limited editions and commissions new large-scale installations by emerging artists.
